Two Months Old

On Sunday, Moses was 2 months old. He had his 2 month dr. appointment on Monday. He weighed 12 lbs 1 oz (50th percentile) and was 24.25 in. long (90th percentile). Aaron is hopeful for Moses to continue to be tall (or long for now). Moses loved being on the examination table because when he kicked, the paper made a lot of noise. Little did he know, he was getting reading to have 4 immunizations. He was a trooper! He slept quite a bit afterwards and every once in a while we'd hear some sad whimpers from him. Today he is nearly back to his old self.

Happy Father's Day!

Moses gave Aaron the best Father's Day gift Aaron could have asked for. . . he slept through the night!! We put him down at 10:30 PM on Saturday night, and he woke up to eat a little after 5 AM on Sunday. While this is very exciting, because of it, I lost my first battle with Moses. He is becoming a thumb sucker. He didn't cry during the night because he had found his hand/thumb to soothe himself. I tried so hard for him to take the pacifier! The video shows exactly how he does this. And notice, his free hand goes up to his head so he can play with his hair :-)

Here are a few pics from our Father's Day. Aaron & Moses were able to do some bonding :-)

1st Annual Bainter Bags Tourney

We packed up Moses and took him down to Rushville on Saturday so we could play in the 1st Annual Bainter Bags Tournament. There were 32 teams in the double elimination tournament. Aaron & I went 1-2, I thought it wasn't too bad since we are both amateurs. Aunt Dawn tried to teach Moses how to play, but he was too tired :-)

Fun with Cousins

Moses was at Grandma Meiss's today and had the chance to play with his cousins Micah & Eliza. Grandma Meiss got a little taste of what life will be like once school starts in August as she watched all 3 of her grandkids today :-) Here are a few pics from the day:Micah was trying to get Moses to smile. He does a great job of being the older cousin!

At one point while Micah was playing he stated, "I want Moses to play with me! Come play, Moses." Micah will have to wait a while for that, but when the time comes they'll have a great time :-)

Shower & Party

Moses had a big Saturday filled with fun! We celebrated three birthdays: Serena's 12th, Chelsea's 16th, and Micah's 3rd. Great-grandma Meiss made it extra special by making her famous surprise cupcakes!

Here is Moses with his cousins Eliza & Micah and Grandma Meiss (Sorry, Aunt Karmelle, you kind of were cut out of the picture!).

Saturday morning we helped give Katie get ready for Baby Zeller with a baby shower. We are all excited to meet the new addition to the family (coming end of June/beginning of July!).

First Smile?

Here are a few photos of Moses trying to smile. As far as I can tell, these weren't smiles because of gas, but real smiles!

I caught a little bit of his smiling on video, before a spit up. Let's hope he starts smiling more & stops looking so concerned all of the time :-)

Ipava Days

Moses took the longest trip of his life as we traveled to Ipava last weekend. It was a busy weekend, and I tried to capture the events, but I missed a lot of them. I didn't capture Moses at the Cactus, El Rancherito, or at Aunt Amy's softball game. Sorry! Here are just a few of the highlights.

Grandpa Dohner was finishing up planting corn. One day, Moses will be able to ride on the tractor with him!

On Saturday, we enjoyed a nice lunch with great-aunt Marilyn. Then Moses had the chance to meet his great-great aunt Grace (above) and his great-uncle Garry (below with Marilyn).

Moses with his dad on his first visit to Vermont State Bank. Grandpa Dohner and Aunt Dawn were busy at work inside :-)

Above, Moses is with his great-great uncle Russell and Aaron. Uncle Russell was excited to meet the next generation of the Dohner family.

Moses hanging out with Grandpa Dohner. Moses has a reputation for spitting up, so Grandpa was prepared with a towel to protect himself :-)
