1st Memorial Day Weekend

Moses enjoyed a busy Memorial Day weekend. First the visit from Grandma Dohner & Aunt Amy (see below). On Sunday, Moses had the chance to hang out with Uncle Zach after hitting a few graduation parties.

Memorial Day, as always, was celebrated with the extended Meiss family liver sausage breakfast. Counting all the babies there were over 70 in attendance. Moses & Olivia were able to "play" together. We'll wait a few years before letting him try the homemade liver sausage :-)

We ended the weekend with a nice visit from Aunt Dawn. With all that activity, it's no wonder Moses slept all day today!

The onesie Moses is wearing says "Frequent Crier." Most people wouldn't believe it, but Moses has had some rough evenings (any time from 5 to 10 pm for an hour or so). One positive outcome from his crabby evenings. . . he sleeps longer through the night :-) We've experimented with a lot of different ways to calm him down and have two that work well--the baby bjorn front carrier, and swinging him in his car seat.

On Saturday, Grandma Dohner & Aunt Amy came by for a visit. Aunt Amy spent some time trying to teach Moses to "dribble" his basketball rattle. It was great to see both of them!

Weekend Fun

Moses had a busy weekend. On Friday, he had the chance to meet his great-aunt Bea & great-uncle Dave. They stopped by our house on their way to Gibson City. On Saturday, Moses took his first bottle! Now I know I can be away from him for longer than 2 hours :-) Aaron was excited to be able to feed Moses for the first time. We had a visit from Grandpa Dohner & Aunt Dawn on Sunday, but unfortunately I didn't get any pictures! Sorry!!

Moses & Mushrooms

Aaron was so excited about his latest mushroom find, that he wanted to make sure everyone saw them. He asked me if I thought taking a picture of the mushrooms and sending them out to his friends was "redneck." I told him yes, but not as redneck as if he compared the size of the mushrooms to his newborn son :-) I guess he was trying to be as redneck as possible.

Play Date!

Last night, Moses attended his first Bible Study play date :-) Most of them slept while their moms were busy discussing their study. From left to right: Caleb Barrick (almost 5 months), Moses (3 weeks), Jack Blunier (5 months), and Olivia Zeller (week and a half). It was fun to finally have all four of them together.

First Mother's Day

This past Sunday was my first Mother's Day. Moses did a great job of picking out my gift of Swedish Fish (one of my favorites!) and a pair of much need sandals :-) The Meiss' celebrated at Ty & Sharon's house. The big surprise for the weekend. . . Zach came home!
